We are second cousins of Richie. We share Great Grandparents Antoni and Mary (anna) Szczucenski (or one of many spelling variations) His Babci, Valerie and our Dziadzu, Joseph were siblings.
Growing up, our extended family was close and we shared many meals, holidays, and celebrations, together… cheers as well as tears. But time and distance were no friends to our families and ultimately there were many more miles than smiles.
On behalf of the Grandkids of Joseph Sztucienski (Richie’s Grand Uncle), we would like to offer our heartfelt sympathy to Richie’s family.

On a personal not, I reached out to Richie during the pandemic . He knew so much family history. He had traveled to Poland and connected with relatives there. My last contact from Richie was December 2020. He wrote me a brief but loving biography of Joseph Malek, the Godfather we shared. It was a wonderful gift.
