Obituary of Douglas B. Crispell

Douglas B. Crispell of Walden, NY passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Garnet Health Medical Center, Town of Wallkill, NY. The son of the late Herman H. and Mabel R. Story Crispell, he was born on January 13, 1950 in Newburgh, NY. He was 71 years old. He was an electrician with IBEW Local 363 in Harriman, NY. He was also a lifetime member of the Newburgh Yacht Club. Douglas is survived by his wife, Wendy Hendricks Crispell at home; daughters: Erin M. Crispell of Walden and Ashley K. Billich and her husband, Shawn of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, Harold S. Crispell and his wife Patricia of Worcester; sister Rhoda J. Crispell of Montgomery; grandchildren: Mabel Ann, Azalea Louise and a third grandchild on the way; nephews: Paul, David and Frank; nieces: Jill, Megan, Kristie and Annie . He was predeceased by his brother, Gary P. Crispell. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 7th from 2-4 pm at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. The family will receive friends at 4:30 pm at Colden Manor (Spruce Lodge) following the visitation.
