Wendy and I were stunned to hear of Mom’s passing. I have no words to express the sense of loss; of course, Mom is probably laughing right now seeing my name in the same sentence as loss of words. The memories are many and as vivid as the day they were experienced. The football games, tailgates, Nick’s graduation then mine 1 month later, the bottomless pot of coffee and plateful of Ziti every Sunday. I am a far better person having Mom and Pop and the entire Smith family in my life. I hesitate to say Mom is in a far better place because her time with all of us was special and I for one already miss her tremendously.
