Obituary of Robert M Burton

Robert M. "Bob" Burton of Newburgh, passed away at his home with his family by his side on July 2, 2024. He was 78. Bob was born in Lorain, Ohio on February 22, 1946 to the late Raymond E. Burton and Helen T. Feeley. Bob retired as an Installer for Verizon in Newburgh. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force. Bob volunteered for Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, Vet to Vet Program as well as liaison for the GBS Foundation. He was Past Exalted Ruler of the Newburgh Elks. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife Joan at home; children, Michelle E. Gulla (Andrea) and Matthew E. Burton (Andrea); grandchildren, Michael Burton, Logan Burton, Elizabeth Gulla, Nicholas Gulla and Moet Pucino; brothers, Raymond Burton and Timothy Burton (Carol); nieces Erinn Lennon (Wayne) and Kristen Hergenhan; sister in law, Mary Hergenhan. Bob was predeceased by his parents, First wife Harriet Burton; sisters, Joan Burton and Marilyn Burton.
