Matt & Michelle, I am so sorry to hear about your dad's passing. He was such a fun person to be around and always made me laugh. I also didn't know that Harriet had passed. I absolutely adored her and enjoyed every moment of working with her at Sears. I miss all of the Sears gang and then of them all the time. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers!

My joyous memory of Bob was to see him dance. He was the best dancer I've known. Rock n Roll splits on the floor. He could move to the music better than anyone else. It was a joy to watch. Bob was a great father and a wondetful husband. He was a patriot and loved his country very much. He will be missed. C.Cocolicchio

Bob was my honorary "big brother" all of my life. Our houses were only a few feet apart and growing up we were over each other's homes constantly, eating Mrs. Burton's delicious Irish shortbread, playing baseball in his side yard (until we broke a window), riding bikes (see picture taken in June of 1951, left-to right Tim, me, and Bob) and roller-skating around and around the block, playing shadow tag and "chicken fighting" in my yard until the streetlights came on, and following rabbit tracks in the snow (one time ending up almost in Amherst). We always went trick-or-treating together, bringing home pillowcases full of goodies.
As teenagers, we practiced new dance steps in my basement rec room and once posed for a picture of us all dressed up for Prom Night before joining our dates.
Thanks, my friend and "big brother" for all of the wonderful memories, your kindness and often protection. My heartfelt condolences to Joan and all of the family. You will be sorely missed. Rest in peace and may Light Perpetual shine upon you.
Cheryl

I met Bob in high school; we were in the same grade. Bob had a GREAT sense of humor.....you never knew WHAT he was going to say, but when he said it, it was a HOOT!! Bob fought the good fight; I know that God has His arms wrapped around Bob welcoming him to his Heavenly home.

Dear Joan, Michelle, Matt and your entire family.
Bob and I were the “outlaws” of the Hergenhan clan. We enjoyed a wonderful 50 year friendship before John and Harriet passed away a week apart. Since then we had each other’s back and ear as we navigated a new life…. each alone. I was thrilled that he and Joan found each other and spent the past year enjoying life together. I have wonderful memories of the laughter, jokes, and stories.
He was an unforgettable guy and I will miss him….may God welcome him and hold all of you in his embrace . He loved all of you so much and you are truly his best legacy.
Love to all of you, and God bless
Laura Hergenhan

So sorry to hear of your loss. Bob was one of the first Communications Flight members to welcome me into the flight when I first joined the unit. He had a great sense of humor and never let anything get to him, he looked at the bright side of everything. He truly loved his two children would always talk about them .
May he rest in peace.
