Anna M. Berrian of Walden, a former office manager for Anthony Sicari Dress Factory, passed away at home on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. The daughter of Gilbert and Lena Hodges Gillespie, she was born on January 28, 1929 in the Town of Montgomery, NY. She was 94 years old. She was a member of the Walden Seniors, the Walden & Maybrook Methodist Churches, and a former foster parent to Wayne and Joey. The family would like to thank her personal home health aides, Alyssa, Jessica, and Judy and Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties ”Go Team Anna”. She was the widow of the late Robert D. Berrian.

Anna is survived by her sons: Robert Berrian of Walden, and Brian Berrian and his partner, Terry of Walden; daughter, Kathleen Volpe and her husband, Scott of Florida; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, James Gillespie.

A visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Tuesday, September 5th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 6th at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden.
