Jay Gillespie passed away at home on Friday, August 25, 2023. The son of Russell and Gail Gillespie, he was born on April 1, 1968 in Middletown, NY. He was 55 years old. Jay was a corrrections officer at the Otisville Correctional Facility and a member of the Masonic Lodge #627.

Along with his parents, Russell and Gail Gillespie of Montgomery, he is survived by his wife, Russhell McNear Gillespie at home; sons: Jacob and Matthew Gillespie at home; brother, Jerry Gillespie and his wife, Rachel, of Hoboken, NJ, and Mark Gillespie and his wife, Michelle, of Montgomery; Mother-in-Law, Angela Teschendorf of Florida; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Cremation was in the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
