Anna V. Melendez of Walden, NY passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Garnet Health Medical Center, Middletown, NY. The daughter of Juan and Gladys Umana Rivera, she was born on July 17, 1972 in New York City, NY. She was 51 years old. He was a sales clerk for New York & Co, Middletown, NY.

Along with her mother, Gladys Rivera of Walden, she is survived by her husband, Anibal Melendez at home, sons: Greg, Ian, and Matthew Melendez, brothers: Louis and Roger Rivera; nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Thursday, August 10th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral prayers will be held at 8 pm following the visitation. Cremation will be in the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place; Memphis, TN 38105.
