Donald P. Henry of Maybrook, NY passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 in
Middletown, NY. The son of the late Donald C. and Mary Henry (Calley). Husband
of his late wife Mildred J. Henry (Memmelaar), Donald was born on June 6, 1950
in Cornwall, NY. He was 73 years old.
Donald was a Corrections Officer at Wallkill Correctional Facility for 37 years.
Donald served in the United States Navy as a Seabee in the 5 th Marine Division
during numerous tours in Vietnam.
He was a founding Members of the Orange County Farmers Museum and Grand
Hollow Tractor Club as well as a member of the Maybrook VFW. Donald was
always willing to lend a helping hand when needed.
Donald was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by; his
daughters, Tracy Henry of Middletown, and Mary C. Lewis and her husband David
of Bloomingburg; Grandchildren, Hailey Lewis and Claire Lewis; several nieces and
nephews.
He was predeceased by his Wife; Mildred Henry, parents Donald C. and Mary
Henry and sister Suzanne Cunningham.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 2, 2023 from 6-8PM at the Gridley-
Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard Street Walden, NY 12586 (845) 778-3811
Burial will be in Orange County Veterans Cemetery on Thursday August 3, 2023 at
11 AM located at 111 Craigville Rd. Goshen, NY.
