Obituary of Ethel K Reardon

Ethel K. Reardon, of New Windsor, NY, passed away at home on Saturday, July 15, 2023. The daughter of John Thompson and Ethel McDermott Thompson, she was born on March 4, 1937 in Newburgh, NY. She was 86 years old. She is the wife of the late Joseph A. Reardon, Sr. She is survived by her two sons: Joseph A. Reardon, Jr. of Newburgh and Joseph N. Reardon of New Windsor; two daughters, Colleen Reardon of New Windsor and Robin Rhodes-Reardon of Walden; one brother, James Thompson of Myrtle Beach, SC; three grandchildren, Meghan, Alysa, and Holli Ann; five great-grandchildren: Natalie, Owen, Noah, Samantha, and Callen; nieces; nephews; and her aide, Yvette Medina. She was predeceased by two sons, John Joseph Reardon and Gordon James Reardon. A visitation will be held from 6 pm – 8 pm on Tuesday, July 18th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at St. Patrick’s Church, Newburgh. Burial will be at the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh, NY. Contributions in Ethel’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
