John F. Strang of Montgomery, NY passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023 at Sapphire at Goshen, Goshen, NY. John was a security officer for Barron’s Security, Montgomery, NY. The son of Albert J. and Edith White Strang, he was born on July 26, 1948 in Newburgh, NY. He was 74 years old. John was an Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam Era, and a member of the Coldenham Fire Department.

Survivors include his son, John Strang, Jr.; sisters Della Loucks of Montgomery and Ruth Ann Strang of Montgomery; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by several siblings.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 20th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard Street, Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, April 21st at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Coldenham Cemetery, Coldenham, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Coldenham Fire Department.
