Jeremy was a cute little kid - happy and full of life, like most little kids. He was always happy, full of energy and friendly. He was not afraid of trying new things. He began swimming at a very young age and not just in the kiddie pool. He was swimming in the adult pool and diving by the time he was two or three. He amazed us all!
The other thing I remember when Jeremy was very young is his love of music and movement. While Joyce was pregnant, Joyce and Bill were taking dance lessons and they danced a lot. I remember when Jeremy was 1 or 2, whenever music would start playing Jeremy would start dancing. He would be moving to the music!. It was rather humorous.
The other part of the equation came a little later in life when he taught himself how to play the guitar and would play songs he knew or make up his own music, which always sounded good to me.
Jeremy was helpful. It was in his nature to help people with a need, whether it be carrying something for them or just giving them directions.
Last but not least, Jeremy loved being a dad. I never heard him say it, but it was so evident. From when they were infants, changing their diapers to when they got older and just playing with them, taking them places, just taking care of them. He wanted to understand them too. I remember one time when one of them was tired and crying and Jeremy kept trying to understand what she wanted. He got down on her level, so he could look her in the eye and was asking her questions but then it became evident that she was just overtired, because no matter what he said, she cried. He was very sweet and caring with her and wanted to help her in her distress. He loved each one of them the best way he knew and was capable of.
Jeremy had his issues and struggles, as most of us know, but when I think of Jeremy that is not what I think of. What I think of is his kind-hearted and compassionate nature and the way he loved his kids.
I will always love you and miss you, Jeremy.

I knew Jeremy from school, such a sweet soul. I am blessed to have gotten the chance to meet him and able to call him my little brother. I will never forget his beautiful bright smile. I pray life was kind to him and send my deepest condolences to all his family and friends.

Q: How did you meet Jeremy?
A: I was 5 years old and you were the first baby I ever held. I was so excited and in love with the fact that there would be another family member to play with when I visit Poppi, Joyce and Heather. I will never forget that day. It will always be in my heart ❤️
RIP and much love!
