Josephine A. Halstead of Maybrook NY passed away at home on Saturday, January 7, 2023. The daughter of the late John and Josephine Hanrahan Hyland, she was born on November 16, 1940 in Bronx, NY. She was 82 years old. Josephine was the widow of the late Horace B. Halstead. She loved to read, do crossword puzzles and watch Yankee games. She also loved to go shopping with the seniors.

Survivors are her sons: Kenneth Griffin(Jean) of Maybrook, Kevin Griffin of Maybrook and Keith Griffin(Connie) of Montgomery; Grandchildren: Amanda, Nicole, Ryan, Megan, Justin, Jillian, Raymond, Kevin, and Patrick; Great Grandchildren, Daniella, Zack and Alexis; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Rita Kelly and Margaret Tansey and nephew, Arthur Kelly.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, January 11th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will begin at 8 pm at the funeral home immediately following the visitation. Cremation will be in the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh.
