Sheela S. Solanky of Campbell Hall, NY passed away at home on Thursday, November 10, 2022. The daughter of Obed and Ellen Christian, she was born on October 3, 1946 in Ahmedabad, India. She was 76 years old. She was a postal clerk at the Walden Post Office and a member of the Freedom Road Bible Church, Walden. She was also involved in children’s ministry in India.
Sheela is survived by her husband, Samuel A. Solanky at home; son, Prayer Solanky of Hyde Park; daughter, Charity Forte (Omar) of Middletown; sister Ena Uthaman; sister-in-law, Nancy Christian; grandchildren, Zhuri, Sophia, Beatrice, and Noemi; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Andrews Christian and sister, Ela Christian.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 13th at the Freedom Road Bible Church, Walden. Burial will be in the Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden. Memorial contributions may be made to The Good Samaritan, 12 Scofield Street, Walden, NY
