Richard L. Rose of Campbell Hall, NY passed away at home on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. The son of Calvin and Edith Illenberg Rose, he was born on January 13, 1938 in Burnside, NY. He was 84 years old. Richard was a supervisor for the NYS Dept. of Transportation and an Air Force Veteran serving from 1956 to 1960. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #627 and past member of the Maybrook Fire Dept. Survivors are his wife, Hazel Rose at home; son, William J. Rose of Rock Tavern; daughters: Lynn Rose of Campbell Hall and Sherry Young (Earl) of Maybrook; brother, Russell Rose (Margaret) of SC; grandchildren: Kyle, Erin, Kimberly, and Jessica; great grandchildren: Jaiden, Landon and Daisy; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Cindy Lou Rose, brother, James Rose and sister, Blanche Judson. A visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 on Friday, November 11th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 12th at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden. Memorial contributions may be made to the Maybrook Methodist Church.
