Debra L. Smith of Walden, NY passed away on Wednesday, October5, 2022 at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. Th daughter of Robert and Sophie Galeski Thompson, she was born on January 26, 1956 in Brooklyn, NY. she was 66 years old. Debra was a shipping supervisor at Nelco, Walden, NY.
Debra is survived by her husband, John Smith at home; son, Matthew Smith of Walden; brother, Albert “Ronnie” Thompson of Newburgh; sisters: Joan Azzue of Spring Hill, Fl, Marion Manville of Canada, and Doris Briscoe of Tx; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services and cremation are private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Walden Humane Society, 2489 Albany Post Road; Walden, NY 12586.
