Obituary of Eileen M Hein

WEST PALM BEACH - Eileen M. Hein (Hacunda),
died on June 11, 2022 in Loxahatchee Groves, Florida, after a courageous battle against cancer. Eileen
was born on June 3, 1942 in Newburgh, New York,
and spent most of her life there before moving to
Lake Havasu City, Arizona. After the death of her
husband, Warner P. Hein, Sr., Eileen moved to the
State of Florida. She was 80 years old.
Eileen was the daughter of the late Joseph J. Ha cunda and Eileen M. Walker. She is survived by
daughter, Jodi Lynn and her husband, Robert Lynn
of Walden, NY, son, Mark T. Evans of Birming ham, AL, and daughter, Sharon Evans Downes of Loxahatchee Groves, FL,
granddaughters, Jennifer Valastro (Newburgh, NY), Heather Lynn (New
Windsor, NY) and Sydney E. Downes (Loxahatchee Groves, FL), and
great-grandchildren, Alexander K. Macri and Arianna L. De Marco. She is
also survived by her late husband’s family, Nina Hein and her son, Warner
Paul Hein of New Paltz, NY, Michael P. Hein, his wife, Christine, and their
son, Mickey Hein of Kingston, NY, and Nancy Norling, her husband John
Ryan and their children, as well as many dear cousins and friends whom
she cherished.
Eileen was a certified yoga instructor and founder of Yoga Chi Studio in
Lake Havasu City, AZ, a Reiki Master, a teacher certified in the Blue Buddha
of Healing and a Minister in the Universal Spiritualist Association where
she received her Ph.D. in theology. She was also a psychic medium. Eileen
worked as a nurse’s aide at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, helping to bring
newborns into the world, and as an early pioneer of women in business,
she operated a road-side diesel truck repair company in the 1980’s. She
enjoyed cooking incredible meals for her family and friends, planning
camping trips each year for her friends in Arizona, singing Broadway show
tunes, painting and teaching. She had a great sense of humor, loved improv,
being in “character” and dressing up. Her home was always open and she
made all who entered it feel like family. She was a true caregiver and an
exceptional friend.
Cremation was entrusted to Edgley Cremation Services in West Palm
Beach, Florida. A service for family and friends will take place in Newburgh,
New York in September of 2022. Memorial contributions can be made to
a charity of one’s choice
