Rose Quercia of Walden, NY passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. The daughter of Carlmelo and Salvetrice Silvestro Scalone, she was born on October 24, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY. She was 95 years old. She was the widow of Emilio Quercia. Rose was a seamstress at various dress shops in Newburgh, NY.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Rita; brother, Phillip Scalone and his wife, Donna of Newburgh; nephews, Thomas and Joseph Monti and Matthew and Nicholas Scalone. She was predeceased by her sister, Josephine, “Josie” Monti.
Funeral services and burial are private. Memorial contributions may be made to Access: Supports for Living Foundation; 15 Fortune Road West, Middletown, NY 10941.
