William J. Obie of Montgomery, NY passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the Kaplan Family Hospice, Newburgh, NY. The son of William J. and Frances Hutchins Obie, he was born on November 25, 1957 in Manhattan, NY. He was 64 years old. He was a general manager for Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Warwick, NY. He was the widower of the late Jane M. Obie.
William is survived by his sons: Robert Obie and his wife, Julie of Maryland and William Obie and his wife, Dora of Middletown; daughters: Catherine Reynolds of Pine Bush, and Irene Wensley and her husband, Trever of Montgomery; brother, Stephen Obie and his wife, Robin of Salisbury Mills; and Grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Donald.
A visitation will be held from1-3 PM on Monday, June27th at the Gridley-Horan
Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held a 3 pm following the visitation. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Montgomery, NY.
