Obituary of Margaret Carolyn Lennon

Carol Lennon, born Margaret Carolyn Griffin on July 27, 1945, passed away on Wednesday, May 18th with her family at her side. Born in Kinston, NC, she was brought to Walden, NY at the age of 2 by her parents, the late James and Pauline (Gresham) Griffin. Carol was preceded in death by dear brothers, James Griffin(1930-2018) and Denny Griffin (1948-2021), and beloved son, Micah Lennon (1982-2015). Left to cherish Carol’s memory are: her high school sweetheart and husband of 55 years, Gerald A. Lennon (Jerry); sisters, Brenda (Griffin) Williams and Margaret (Griffin) Wilson; sons, David and Joshua Lennon; grandchildren, Connor and Grayson Lennon, and multiple generations of extended family. Visitation time for family and friends begins at 10 am, with the funeral service held promptly at 11 am on Saturday, May 28th. Both will be held at the historic Goodwill Church (2135 NY-208, Montgomery, NY), where Jerry & Carol were married. Those who wish my join the family afterward for a brief graveside service at the Wallkill Valley Cemetery. This will be followed by a time of remembrance and refreshment at the New Goodwill Church Fellowship Hall.
