Anita Kozar of Newburgh, NY passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Fishkill Nursing Center, Fishkill, NY. The daughter of Hagbard and Mary Ventimiglia Ekerold, she was born on April 23, 1935 in Bronx, NY. She was 86 years old. She was employed by the Assessor’s Office, New Canaan, Ct. She was the widow of the late Jacob Kozar.
Anita is survived by her daughter, Nina M. Gemma, of Newburgh; nieces and nephews, John Nicastri, Annamaria Nicastri, Frankie Nicastri, Anthony Nicastri, Lorraine Priolo, Dominic Schifano and Linda Falceti. She was predeceased by her niece, Patty Jo Priolo.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 27th at 10 AM at the New Life Ministry MHV, 841 Route 52 Suite 6, Fishkill, NY. Cremation was at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Life Ministry MHV, www.newlifeministrymhv.com.
