Donald R. Fonte of Montgomery passed away in New City, New York on December 7, 2021. He was 61 years old. Donald was born on September 14, 1960 in Brooklyn, NY to Joseph Fonte and Anna Schiavo. He was a devoted husband and father who will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
Donald is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Barron Fonte, and his daughter, Faina Fonte, at home; daughter, Kristen Fonte (Frank Viola) of Long Beach, NY; mother-in-law, Dorothy Barron; brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Amy Barron; nieces Keira and Lindsay Barron.
He was predeceased by his mother and father.
Donald was a Government Relations Director by profession and volunteered at the Dispute Resolution Center.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Worldwide Orphans Foundation.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 2-6 PM at Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, Inc. 39 Orchard St. Walden, NY 12586 gridleyhoran.com (845) 778-3811.
A funeral mass will be offered on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Most Precious Blood Church, 42 Walnut Street, Walden, NY 12586.
Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Montgomery, NY.
