John B. Eager of New Paltz, NY passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Golden Hill Nursing Home, Kingston, NY. The son of Milton and Hilda Maines Eager, he was born on October 5, 1947 in Newburgh, NY. He was 74 years old. John was an electronics technician for Ulster BOCES, New Paltz, NY. John was the widower of the late Constance A. Eager. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors are his daughter, Lisa Lamark and her husband, David W. of New Paltz; son, James Joye of Michigan; sister, Leah Clifford of Newburgh; grandchildren, Dennis, Melissa, David and Jessica; great grandchildren, Madison and Marlee; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters.
A visitation will be held from 9-11 am on Tuesday, December 14th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Burial will be in the New Paltz Rural Cemetery, New Paltz, NY, following the visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Assoc., PO Box 61420, Staten Island, NY 10306.
