George P. Romer of Walden, NY passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Kaplan Family Hospice, Newburgh, NY. The son of the late Charles and Marion F. Benett Romer, Jr., he was born on June 12 1941 in Newburgh, NY. He was a maintenance mechanic at SUNY New Paltz. He was also a member of the Orange Hose Co. (Walden Fire Dept.) and the Wallkill Rod & Gun Club.
George if survived by his wife, Peggy Simpson-Romer at home; son, Dean Romer and his wife, Dawn of Rock Tavern; daughter, Dawn Mott and her husband, William of Wallkill; brothers: Wayne Romer of Gardiner and Raymond Romer and his wife, Mar Ann of Florida; grandchildren: Cody and Jade; great grandson, Brantley; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Doug and
Charles Romer, and his sister, Charlotte Sorrentino.
Funeral services were private. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Cremation was in the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh.
