Obituary of Darrell G. Draughn

Darrell G. Draughn of Middletown, NY passed away on Friday, May, 21, 2021 at Garnet Health Care, Middletown, NY. The son of the late Paul H. and America Gayheart Draughn, he was born on December 5, 1956 in Corydon, Indiana. He was 64 years old. Darrell was a carpenter who worked for several contractors in Indiana. He was talented, loved horses, cars, fishing, hunting, working on tractors and most of all his family. Darrell is survived by his wife, Linda Johnson Cook Draughn at home; stepson, Steven Cook (Kim) of Montgomery; stepdaughter, Rachel Wilson (Karsten) of Middletown; sisters: Brenda Roberson (John) and Regina Miller both of Indiana; sisters-in-law: Penny Bellarosa of Walden, Becky McCord of PA, Julie Santiamagro of Walden and Cindy Cavallucci of Walden; grandchildren: Sarah DiSimone (Brandon), Rebekah Wilson, Xavier Wilson, Andrew Cook and Zoey Cook; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, and his dog Peach. He was predeceased by his brother, Adam. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 25th from 11am to 1 pm at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm following the visitation. Burial will be in the Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden. Due on the ongoing health restrictions, facemasks are required and a wait time may apply to enter the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Walden Humane Society.
