Obituary of Barbara Jean Wadlington

Barbara Jean Wadlington of Newburgh, NY passed away on Wednesday, April 20 2017 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. The daughter of the late Nicholas J. and Elsie M. Haff Zwart, Jr. she was born on February 29, 1964 in Newburgh, NY. She was 53 years old. Besides her love of family and friends, she enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, gardening and care of her beloved animals as well as others. Not much more could please her than to watch her family and friends enjoy her home cooking. She will always be in our hearts forever and greatly missed. Barbara is survived by her longtime partner, Kenneth Zych of Walden; daughters: Jessica Wadlington of Rhinebeck; Christine Wadlington of Knox, NY and Victoria Trent of Okeechobee, FL; sisters: Ellen Frueh of LaBelle, FL; Debra Dunlap of PA; and Catherine May of Mayfield, NY; Grandchildren: Taylor, Benjamin and Leonora; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Wesley Zwart and Nicholas Zwart III. A visitation will be held from 4-6 PM on Wednesday, April 26th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Cremation was in the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sullivan County Humane Society.
