Jeannette is also survived my several nieces and nephews as well as grandnieces and grandnephews. Jeannette was born and raised in New York City before moving to Orange County to work alongside her parents in the restaurant they managed in Newburgh. It was there where she met her future husband Harry Geiger. They settled in Montgomery and were married for 35 years. While raising her sons, Jeannette was very generous with her time by volunteering with the Montgomery little league and as a den mother with the cub scouts. In 1988 she met and eventually married Ted Taegder. They were married for 19 years and resided in Hudson, Florida. While living on their beloved Gulf of Mexico, Jeannette and Ted enjoyed all that the gulf had to offer. They spent many hours fishing, boating and sightseeing together. Jeannette was an active member of the Hudson First United Methodist Church as well as a member of the The Ladies of Sea Ranch Red Hats. Interment and a graveside memorial service will be held at the Brick Church Cemetery in Montgomery, NY at a later date this spring. In lieu of flowers, Jeannette has requested that donations be made in her honor to the Mortgage Principal Fund of the Hudson First United Methodist Church.
