Ida K. Hewett, age 90 of Middletown, NY passed away on January 15, 2021 at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown, NY. The daughter of the late Leroy and Ida Lewis, she was born on January 5, 1931 in Ringwood, NJ. Ida was married to the late Raymond E. Hewett. She will be dearly missed. Ida loved to cook, make crafts and play computer games with her beloved sisters. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren immensely as well as her cat, Carrie. She will forever be remembered for her kind heart and generosity. Survivors include her sons, Raymond E. Hewett Jr. of Franklin, CT and Ralph Hewett and his wife, Dawn of Sebastian, FL; daughter, Lisa Stuhmer and her husband, Steven of Middletown, NY; Son-in-Law, Stephen Rodvansky of Bloomingburg, NY; sisters, Bertha Smith and Gloria Siegmund, both of Bradenton, FL; brother, Leroy Lewis of Port Ewen, NY; grandchildren: Sarah, Susan, Leann, Heather, Michael, Aja, Rhianna, Sayre, Eric and Tanner; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and close friend, Diane Robinson. Ida was predeceased by her son, Robert Hewett; daughters, Cynthia Hewett and Ronda Rodvansky; daughter-in-law, Catherine Hewett; siblings, Leo Lewis, Ernest Lewis, John Lewis and Martha Lewis; grandsons, Corey Hewett and Ryan Hewett. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY. There will be a celebration of Ida's life held by her family at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Ida’s memory to the Walden Humane Society, 2489 Albany Post Rd. Walden, NY 12586.
