Jessie Isobel Walsh, age 83 of Highland Mills, NY passed away on December 9, 2020. The daughter of the late Alexander and Georgina Paterson Mackay, she was born on January 15, 1937 in Pompton Lakes, NJ. Jessie was married to the late James Walsh.
Jessie was affectionally known to her children as “Sweet Cheeks”. She was never one to turn down a game of Scrabble, cup of coffee, and a few Dove chocolates. She took pride and joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be sorely missed and leaves behind many memories for her family to cherish.
Survivors include her sons, Sean Walsh and his wife, Susan of Waxhaw, NC, Timothy Walsh and his wife, Sally of Cornwall, NY; daughters, Stacy Segali and her husband, Edward of Newburgh, NY, Elizabeth Walsh and Katie Small of New Windsor, NY; brother, Gill Mackay and his wife, Sandy of Newburgh, NY; grandchildren, Colin, Emma, Aaron, Ryan, Matthew, Kevin, Chelsea, Brooke and Tyler; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Jessie was predeceased by her brothers, Alexander “Sandy” Mackay and John Mackay.
Services will be private. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Trenton, NJ.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jessie’s memory to any local humane society of one’s choosing.
