Allen F. Rose of Bloomingburg, NY passed away at his home on November 1, 2020. He was 87 years old. He happily lived the majority of those years his way, by his rules. He was a master carpenter and stone mason. He learned from and built many homes in the Walden area with deceased builders Charlie McMann and Bob Medley. He was a retired skilled laborer from the Orange County Highway Department in Goshen. Allen served his country in the United Sates Army and was proud that he still remained in contact with many of the people he served with. In earlier years he was very active in the Walden Fire Department as well as the Grand Hollow Old Time Power Association. Allen owned and enjoyed restoring several antique tractors, cars and trucks.
Allen was born to the late Charles and Emma Netz Rose in Harriman, NY.
He is survived by his brother Norman Rose & his wife, Angela, his loving children, Shirley Seifert & her husband, Bob; sons Gerald Allen Rose, Charles Rose and his husband Ryan Tam ; grandchildren, Zack Seifert & his wife Brittany, Korey Seifert & his fiancé' Ashley Andre, Geralyn Rose, Gerald Rose Jr. & his wife Stefany & Damien Rose; great grandchildren, Bryan Lieberman, Benjamin Rose & Lydia Seifert; Niece Janice Malley & Nephew David Rose . Allen was also predeceased by brothers Bill & Robert.
Allen will be dearly missed by his family and friends especially his best friend Gene Froehlich.
Allen's children are honoring his wishes of not having any viewing or funeral services. Allen was a long-time supporter of St. Jude Children's Hospital. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made in Allen's honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
