My Deepest Sympathy to the Geiger Family. I first had the privilege of Meeting Robin in 1974 and she and I instantly became close friends...and we stayed in touch for many years and when I would come to Middletown I always had her couch. The Last time I saw Robin was when her Beautiful Daughter Alexandra was a couple of months old. Then life got in the way...ie I got married in 1991. She saw it in the Record and called me to congratulate me. That was the last time I had spoken to her. I could never find her. I’ve missed her since then. I came across her Blog over a year ago....I tried to reach out to her but never got a hold of her. As hard as this is to say, I’m glad she is no longer suffering and that she’s at Peace.

Robin and I were close friends back in the late '70s and early '80s. We sadly lost touch after we both moved away from Monticello. I was always in awe of her tremendous energy and light-hearted manner. We once cooked chili and spring rolls for a crowd of people and had so much fun doing it. We traveled to Rhode Island where we toured the mansions, and also to NYC where we stayed with Robin's grandmother. It was there I was first introduced to bagels and lox. Robin and I acted together in a production of Neil Simon's "California Suite." We went to Broadway together, but wound up at two different shows because she wanted to see something I had already seen. Later she told me she nearly wound up in the lap of the person next to her when something frightening happened. I'd had a feeling that was going to happen. We also traveled to Martinique and spent a week at a a Club Med resort. It was strange being in a tropical place on New Year's Eve. Recently, a mutual friend tracked down Robin's blog and sent her a note, but I'm guessing she was too ill to answer. Sincere condolences to Robin's family. I will remember her fondly.

Robin Geiger was the consummate professional who absolutely loved teaching and sharing her passion with her students, colleagues, and the entire Middletown City School District. She was greatly admired by all who knew her. Robin was a bundle of energy, and will always be remembered as "one of the greats". Rest in everlasting peace, Robin. My thoughts and prayers are with the Geiger family.

We are deeply saddened to hear of Robin's passing. She was a colleague when I taught in Middletown, but more importantly she was the teacher of my two children and a lifelong influence on them both. Robin will long be remembered by those whose lives she touched.
Our deepest condolences to her family.

Mrs. Geiger was my 9th grade English teacher back in 1996. She was a fabulous educator and knew how to make kids laugh and enjoy a subject they wouldn’t have otherwise. I became an educator and I always used her as an example of how to be with my own students. She was pure energy and sweet as can be not to mention she was just so understanding.
My deepest condolences to her family at this time. She was lovely and I will miss her always.

I met Robin years ago when I worked in the High School. She was a very special lady...slight of build but what a powerhouse of a woman! She was respected and liked by all. She always had words of encouragement, attentively listened, LOVED and was so PROUD of her family and just was so very kind to everyone. We've all lost an incredible roll model...God's kingdom is now richer for the beautiful soul that has returned home.

I had the pleasure of being in Mrs. Geigers women’s literature class in high school. She was not only my favorite teacher but she opened my eyes to so much and taught me empowerment of women. She also solidified my desire to become a teacher which I am today. My deepest condolences to the family. She has left her mark on the world ❤️

Robin was a powerful advocate and a kind, compassionate colleague and friend. When I needed support, she was there. She shepherded me through a very tough time and taught me a thing or two about self-advocacy and asserting myself. There aren't that many people you encounter in this world that leave such an important life lesson for you. She was one of those people and her lessons live on with me, as with so many others. Please accept my deepest condolences.

Our medical issues kept us from seeing all of you more recently, but the memories of the wonderful times we shared for many years is in our hearts. It was Robin’s love for her children that brought us together and her (and Will) willingness to be guardians to our children. Robin and I bonded over the deep love we have for our families creating our long family-like relationship. We love you all and hope you will have peace knowing Robin is at rest. David and Jayne Green
