Barbara was a joy to all. We talked of everything in this last year. I would cone in to Sweeney's once a week at least to see her and catch up. A truly special person of devout faith and a love of life. I offered her many rides home but even in the rain she would want to walk. To feel alive. To be "Siiiingin in the rain".
I love you, Barb.

We celebrated so many times over the years, loving Ports of Call and Whale n Al. Barbara could break out in song or even dance at the drop of a hat :) Besides beautiful handwriting, she wrote beautiful notes, followed with a scripture. She liked her tennis and movies! Definitely my honor to have Barbara as my neighbor with a cherished true friendship of love and respect. My love filled Condolence to Erica & Kristen and your beautiful families. I'm sure she's made many friends already among the Angels and may be formed her own choir :). We know she had a direct pass to the heavens. It'll be so nice reunion with Lawerence and other loved ones. Love you Barbara...From: Shot Gun - to: Laser Beam.....I'll be toasting a glass of wine :)

I have many many memories of my Aunt Boo-Loo, all good. She was amazingly always upbeat, no matter what was going on, be it good or bad. Her love of music inspired me. I cherish not only her friendship but also the love and friendship she extended to my folks over many years. She even “got” Dad’s humor☺️. The picture (sister Judy, brother Jerry, and Boo-Loo and I in the front) that I have uploaded was taken at our house in Lakewood Colorado in 1970 when we were celebrating my Dad’s retirement from the Navy. I’ll always remember what fun we had that day! Boo-Loo loved life and loved to celebrate and laugh. In more recent years I really enjoyed discussing books that we read together, along with insights from our Bible reading that we shared with each other. Her love of Jesus Christ was evident not only in words, but in actions. While I am so sad to now be without her, I am so happy for her that she is finally home.

Grandmama was one of a kind, she constantly radiated Positive energy and was more than kind to every person she met. She had such a welcoming spirit and beautiful heart. I’m going to miss her so much, She was there for all of me and my siblings lives, she always made each one of us feel very special In her own way. I remember waking up early in the morning for school and grandmama would already be up finishing her morning coffee and writing down in her little journal. There were mornings where I would even walk out and look out the big living room window to see her peacefully sitting down in a chair beside the pool as she watched the sunrise. I will forever miss those moments but will forever hold those beautiful memories close to my heart. Even though she is not here with us physically, I know she is here spiritually, she will be able to watch over and see me and my family continue to grow and protect us throughout our lives. I’m happy knowing she is free and reunited with grandpapa and the people we have lost♡ sending my love and kisses across the miles grandmama, I love you forever.

Never a more true statement- "She made a new acquaintance feel like an old friend." My conversations with Barbara were filled with joy and laughter and tears and hope. She was a beautiful soul and one of the most lovely and interesting human beings I have ever met. Her spirit will surely live on through everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. My thoughts and condolences are with her family and her many friends. Rest in peace, Barbara.

AN IRISH BLESSING
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Lighting a green candle for my favorite Leprechaun .

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
Corinthians 13
Momma, you truly embodied this scripture. Everywhere you went you were a ray of sunshine to those people that you met. You had a way of brightening people's day. You were kind to a fault and always saw the best in everyone. People remembered you and still do to this day. Even here in Las Vegas where you haven't been in a long time clerks at the stores that we used to frequent recognize me and still ask about you.
You were with me in the darkest moments of my life. You were the light that kept me going. Had it not been for you I honestly do not know what would have happened to me. You gave me faith when I had none and you loved me when I felt unlovable.
You were an incredible grandmother to my children. You brought magic into their lives with your stories and your songs and your playful nature. You taught them how to have fun no matter what they were doing and you took such interest in even the smallest details of their lives. There was never a birthday that you missed or a special occasion you forgot. How many of the kids sporting events were you there to cheer them on? How many school performances? How many nature walks, trips to the beach and picnics at the park did we all share? So many wonderful memories.
I cherish our incredible 3 week journey to England Scotland and France with Maddie and Alexa in 2018 where we drove over 2500 miles together - you as my co-pilot and had so many amazing adventures. There are too many to count. I miss you so much already. I can't believe that I won't be able to pick up the phone and hear your beautiful voice and talk about our day together.
You are irreplaceable. I am so grateful to have had you as my mother. I'm glad that you are in heaven with daddy, your parents, Aunt Dodi and Uncle Jerry, Dickey and your beloved grandparents. It gives me some comfort to know that you are free as you have always been meant to be. I love you mom. Thank you for being my best friend.

My Auntie BooLoo came into my life when I was four years old. She was as bright as a banner and as gentle as a breeze. Her “yes!” to life filled my timid heart with strength for the next 62 years. I love her love of tiny birds and Tanya the dog and Rick my high school crush and, well, anyone that I cared about. She loved me. She loved Jesus with me. With Jesus now, she must be even happier than she’s ever been. Hard to imagine, huh!

My grandmama was an amazing person, I’m going to miss her an awful lot. Words can’t express how kind, selfless, and caring she was. She saw the beauty in everything, always saw the good in people no matter who you were or where you came from, and could turn any bad day into a happy one. Her favorite holiday was Saint Patrick’s day, she loved the color green I think because it reminded her of nature. I’ll always remember our nature walks by the ocean we’d take after school as a child and going to the park together to feed ducks. She’s been one of my dearest friends my entire life, so it makes me sad to see her go. But she’s at peace and I know always will be with me. Thank you for all your advice, life lessons, laughs, and being the best grandmama. I love you always. ♡ - Your madisoni macaroni
