Where to begin? How do you put into words how much somebody means to you knowing they are not going to see it? Alan you were one of my very best friends. We were miles apart but you were never out of mind or heart. I loved you dude. You were right by my side when I proposed to Shirley and you were right by my side when her and I said "I Do". So many memories together my brother. Always looked forward to spending time at your house. The cookouts. The swimming or "swimping" once the Budwiser took over on both of us. Remember the Sunday evening at your place when Shirley got stuck in the pool because the ladder broke and you and I had to run to the store and buy a new ladder. I don't know what was funnier. Poor Shirley stuck in the pool or the 2 of us drunks trying to put the ladder together. We slways found a way to have fun. I love you dude. You will never ever be forgotten. Diane, Jeremy,Richard I love you all. Your husband, your dad was a great man. A great friend and just a great person. My heartfelt condolances go out to all of you and your familys. Alan I will not say good bye to you. I will say the words to a great song. It's been a long road without you my friend. I will tell you all about it when I see you again.
