Floyd H. Marroon of Walden, NY passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Campbell Hall Nursing Home, Campbell Hall, NY. The son of the late Harvey and Lillie Palen Marroon, he was born on November 5, 1923 in Walden, NY. He was 93 years old. Floyd was an employee for IBM for over 35 years retiring in 1986. He proudly served in the Army Air Corp during WW II. Floyd was a member and past Senior Warden of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church; past Master of the Wallkill Masonic Lodge #627, Walden and past member and Commander of the Walden American Legion. His family wishes to thank the staff at Campbell Hall Nursing Home and St. Luke’s Hospital for their care and kindness. Survivors are his wife, Faith Swinden Marroon at home; sons: Scott Marroon and his partner, Michael Jordan of Canada, and Glenn Marroon of North Carolina; daughter-in-law, Debi Marroon of Cornwall; sister, Janet Morris of Walden; grandchildren: Heather, Russell, Deborah, Crystal, Victoria and Killian; great grandchildren: Russell II, Michael, Melynda, Kristofer, Caleb, Alex, Evan, Amanda and Tamara; great great grandson, Russell III; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son, Keith Morroon. A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Thursday, June 1st at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home,39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Masonic services will be held at 7:45 PM at the funeral home on Thursday evening. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, June 2nd at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Walden, NY. Cremation will be in Cedar Hill Crematory. Memorial contributions may be made the Alzheimer’s Assoc. or St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.
