Obituary of Mathias Ulbrich

Mathias “Matt” Ulbrich, age 84 of Wallkill, NY passed away peacefully at home on January 27, 2020. The son of the late Stephan and Anna Nyitrai Ulbrich, he was born on June 7, 1935 in Hungary.
Mathias worked as a brick layer for the BAC Local 5, NY. He also enjoyed construction and gardening. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his son, Hans Peter Ulbrich and his wife, Mary Jane, of Wallkill NY; daughter, Margaret Daunt and her husband, Scott, of Modena, NY; sister, Elizabeth Rogers of Stroudsburg, PA; sister-in-law, Wilma Ulbrich of Wallkill, NY; grandchildren, Sandra and Linda; great-granddaughter, Maria. Mathias was predeceased by his son, Manfred “Fred” Ulbrich.
A memorial visitation will be held from 6-7:30 PM on Thursday, February 6th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St. Walden, NY 12586. Funeral services will begin at 7:30 PM. Cremation was in the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY.
