Gertrude F. Curtis, age 89 of Walden, NY passed away on January 11, 2020 at the New Paltz Nursing Home. The daughter of the late James and Effie Decker Meade, she was born on September 29, 1930 in Newburgh, NY. Gertrude was married to the late Oliver J. Curtis.
Gertrude worked as a manager for Cigna Insurance in Newburgh. She will be remembered by her wit and sense of humor. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Dwyer and her husband, Joe, of Walden, NY; granddaughter, Nicole Tenney and her husband, James; great-granddaughter, Ashley; nieces and nephews.
Cremation was held privately. Burial of ashes will take place at a later date in Wallkill Valley Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Gertrude’s memory to the Walden Humane Society, 2489 Albany Post Rd. Walden, NY 12586.
