Obituary of Ruth Vealey

Ruth Vealey, 95, of Wallkill, NY passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2019 after a short illness. Born in Walworth County, Wisconsin on September 24, 1924, she was the daughter of the late John and Martha Yost Frank. She was the last survivor of their 17 children.

Ruth was married to Russell Vealey for 73 years, until he passed away in 2016. She was predeceased by her three children, Roberta, Russell James and Ronald Vealey. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Ruth was a hard working “farm wife,” often working alongside Russell on the dairy farm.  She was fiercely independent, living alone until two weeks before her death. She and Russell were longtime faithful members of Graham’s Presbyterian Church in Pine Bush.

Cremation was held at Cedar Hill Crematory. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
