Dorothy F. Ferguson of Walden, NY passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017 at Hudson Valley Rehab and Nursing Home, Highland, NY. The daughter of the late Enoch and Helen Knox Lewis, she was born on January 14, 1939 in Walden, NY. She was 78 years old. She was a rural letter delivery woman for the Walden Post Office. Dorothy was a life member of the Walden Colonel Bradley Hose Ladies Auxiliary and a life member of The VFW Ladies Auxiliary. The family would like to thank the staff at Hudson Valley Rehab for the care they gave Dot. Dorothy is survived by her husband, William H. Ferguson at home, to whom she was married for 61 years ; daughters: Melinda Green and her husband, Ralph of Walden; Pauline Morris and her husband, Randy of Pine Bush; and Darlene Green and her husband, David of Walden; brother, James Lewis and his wife, Betty of Wallkill; sisters: Jeanette Loubengeiger of Texas and Beverly Lanning of Ohio; grandchildren: Jason, Jennifer, Stephen, and Ralph; great grandchildren: Anthony, Emma and Sophia; many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 7-9 PM on Tuesday, August 8th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, August 9th at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor, NY. Memorial contributions may be made the Alzheimer’s Assoc. .
