Obituary of Edward J. Schupner

Edward J. “Ed” Schupner , Jr. a 41 year resident of Montgomery, NY went to be with the Lord on August 9, 2017. He was 73 years old. The son of Lillian and Edward J. Schupner, Sr., he was born on October 8,1943 in Pearl River, NY. Ed was an electrician and a volunteer fireman for the Piermont and Montgomery Fire Depts. Ed’s greatest joy in life was being a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and foster father to over 20 children in need of love and care. Survivors are his wife of 54 years, Linda, sons: James, Edward, Robert and Jeremy Schupner; daughter, Michelle Pratt (Fred), Phontaya and Angelina Schupner and Kristen Wolfing (Ed); brothers: Larry, Ronald, John and Kenneth Schupner; sister, Diane Wancho; grandchildren: Michael, Justin, Brandon, Matthew, Adam, Darren, Devon, Joey, Jamie, Allison and Cloie; great grandchildren: Hunter, Evangelina, Everlyn, and two on the way; nieces, nephews, and several loved foster children. He was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Arthur. A visitation will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Monday, August 14th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Memorial services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, Aug. 15th at the Freedom Road Bible Church, Rte. 52, Walden, NY. Cremation was in the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family to be used at their discretion.
