John E. “Jack” Weller of Walden, NY passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, New York City. The son of the late John N. Weller and Shirley Beardsley Bennett. He was born on December 9, 1950 in Newburgh, NY. He was 67 years old. Jack was the former owner of the Field House Restaurant and Bar in Walden. He was an avid golfer and bowler. He graduated from Valley Central High School and graduated in 1970 from State University of NY Agricultural and Technical College Cobleskill as a science lab tech major.
Jack is survived by his mother, Shirley Weller Bennett of Walden; brothers: Jeffrey Weller and his wife, Linda of NC; Jay Weller and his companion, Sherry Holzschuh of Montgomery, and Lynn Weller and his wife, Louise of Warwick; sister, Laurie Weller Gesso of Walden; aunts, uncles cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, John N. Weller and niece, Jenna Weller.
A visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Tuesday, March 6th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard Street, Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, March 7th at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc.
