Charles A. “Chuck” Moore of Walden, NY passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Orange Regional Medial Center, Town of Wallkill, NY. The son of he late Edward and Mary Schumskie Moore, he was born on September 6, 1933 in Highland Falls, NY. He was 84 years old. He was an Army veteran serving as a Military Policeman during the Korean Conflict.
Chuck was employed as an electrician for the Palisades Interstate Park Commission for 40 years. He was a member of St Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Walden, the Pine Bush America Legion Post, the New Horizons Senior Club of Montgomery, the Maybrook Golden Links and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. He was a very dedicated husband, father and grandfather who loved his family and friends and who will be dearly missed.
Survivors are his wife, Dianne Brahm Moore at home; son, Scott J. Moore (Sien) of Highland; daughters: Pamela T. Parrigin (Richard) of Pine Bush and Melissa A. Space (George R.) of Clintondale; brother, William Moore of Stony Point; sisters: Ellen Zimmer of Highland; Mary Mazzacone of Beacon and Rose Richardson of NH; grandchildren: Brandon and Emily, Justin, George and Kylie; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Edward and sisters, Betty, Frances, Shirley and Ruth.
A visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Wednesday, April 18th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, April 19th at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Walden. Burial will be in the Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hudson Valley Honor Flight or the Pine Bush American Legion Post.
