Marie T. Van Evera of Beacon, NY passed away on December 27, 2018 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. The daughter of the late Morgan L. and Durah I. Kennedy Van Evera, she was born on April 17, 1950 in El Paso, TX. She was 68 years old. Marie assisted many family members and friends as a caregiver.
Survivors include her domestic partner, Brian D. Smith Sr. at home; brothers, Henry Van Evera of Arizona, Royce Van Evera of Lake Placid, NY; step-son, Brian Smith of Fishkill; step-daughter, Brenda Spiecker of Chelsea, NY; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Marie was predeceased by her brother, Morgan Van Evera.
Cremation will be held privately.
Memorial contributions may be made in Marie’s name to the charity of one’s choosing.
