Grace S. DiDonato of Rock Tavern, NY passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. The daughter of the late Raymond and Catherine Turner Gordineer, she was born on June 5, 1928 in Peekskill, NY. She was 89 years old. Grace was a former employee of the Washingtonville School District. She was the widow of the late Fred DiDonato.
Survivors are her son, Richard DiDonato (Frances) of Rock Traver; daughters: Josephine McElroy (Kenneth) of Rock Tavern and Jane DiDonato-Querrazzi (Lisa) of Clintondale; sister, Florence Booth of Newburgh; grandchildren, Stephen, Andrea, Jason, Nicholas, Joshua, Danielle, Richard and Emily; 9 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Frederick DiDonato and brothers, Raymond, James and Robert Gordineer.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, May 23rd at the Gridley-Horan funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, May 24th at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Montgomery, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc. or the Frederick DiDonato Scholarship Fund, c/o Valley Central High School, 1175 State Route 17K; Montgomery, NY 12549.
