Richard Alton Perkowski of Walden, NY, a self-employed carpenter, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. The son of the late Albert and Bessie Still Perkowski, he was born on November 23, 1934 in Newburgh, NY. He was 83 years old. Richard was an Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors are his wife, Joan Hahn Perkowski at home; son, Richard; daughters: Donna, Darlene and Barbie; granddaughter, Ellisyn, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
A visitation will be held from 11 AM to1 PM on Thursday, June 7th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
