Joan M. Christiano of Montgomery, NY passed away at home on Saturday, June 23, 2018. The daughter of the late William J. and Rose Cataldo, she was born on May 21, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY. She was 82 years old. She was the widow of the late William Christiano. Joan was a retired comptroller for the Montgomery Nursing Home, also a past member and former treasurer of the Town of Montgomery Republican Club.
Survivors are her sons: William J. Christiano and his wife, Renee of Montgomery and Robert F. Christiano and his wife, Kimberly of Gardiner; daughter, Joan Christiano of Wallkill; grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Victoria, and Matthew; sister, Barbara Capozzi of Garden City. She was predeceased by her grandson, Alexander.
A visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, June 26th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. A funeral mass will be held at 10 AM at Holy Name of Mary Assumption Church, Montgomery. Entombment will be in the Cedar Hill Mausoleum, Newburgh, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
