John T. McParland, of Washingtonville, NY a salesman, died on October 4, 2012 at Castle Point Veterans Hospital. He was 94 yrs old. The son of John and Mary Hughes McParland, John was born on July 30, 1918 in NYC, NY. He was honorably discharged from the army after serving his country during WWII. John was a member of the 780th Bomb Squadron in the 15th Air Force. He was involved in 35 missions as a bombadier. He was also a member of the local American Legion.
He was the husband of the Late Leona McParland.
John is survived by his son Kevin John McParland of Washingtonville, NY, granddaughter, Shannon Rosendale of Detroit MI, nieces and nephews, he is predeceased by daughter Sheila Rizzo, son Patrick McParland and two brothers, Mark and Peter McParland.
Cremation was at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY
A memorial mass was held on Saturday October 27, 2012 at 10 am at St. Mary’s Church, Montgomery, NY 12549. Burial of ashes followed in the Orange County Veterans Cemetery Goshen, NY
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Washingtonville Humane Society
