Charlotte L. Sherin of Montgomery NY, a former secretary at BOCES in Goshen, NY, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Elant of Newburgh. She was 94. The daughter of Theodore and Rhoda Meier Miller, she was born on February 8, 1918 in Maybrook, NY. Charlotte was a homemaker and a knitter.
She is survived by a son, Michael Sherin and his wife Vaune of Maybrook, and a daughter, Patricia Shipman and her husband, Ray of Montgomery, nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two daughters, Jacqueline McGill and Judy Capozzoli, and two sisters, Mae Decker and Florence Miller.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 6 – 8 pm at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard Street, Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 10, at
10 am. Burial will be in the Chester Cemetery, Chester, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Town of Montgomery Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
