Marguerite N. Evans (Margie) of Maybrook, NY passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 22, 2017. She was 78. Margie was born in Goshen, NY on March 10, 1939 to Felicia and Joseph Citriniti. She graduated from Maybrook High School and lived in Maybrook her entire life. She loved Maybrook and served her community well. Margie along with her late husband Marvin ran a very successful Golden Links Club that provided a wonderful Social Environment for local seniors which included many trips, parties, shows and games. Margie worked for the Village of Maybrook as an assistant clerk under her good friend and neighbor Ruth DelSanto. Later she worked in the Department of Finance of Orange County where she retired after 25 years. She loved to travel to Nashville and Myrtle Beach along with husband Marvin and trusty travel companions John and Eileen Lewis, where they were always taking in shows and cooking great Italian food. Margie is survived by her son Michael Evans at home; step-father, George Gillespie at home; brother, Warren Sanders of Middletown; sister in law, Norma Manning of Montgomery. Also surviving Margie are her very good friends who have always been there for her with friendship and endless support, Rene and Doug DeVoe, Eileen Lewis, Honey and Herm Stelljes. We would also like to thank Jamie Hall for her emotional support and companionship during this difficult time. She was predeceased by her husband Marvin and her sister Marie Citriniti Visitation will be held on Monday September 25, 2017 from 4-7 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, Inc. 39 Orchard St. Walden, NY 12586. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday September 26, 2017 at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial following in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Montgomery, NY Memorial Contributions may be made in Marguerite’s name to the Maybrook Fire Department.
