Obituary of Lawrence Patrick Murnane

Lawrence Patrick Murnane of Maybrook, NY, formerly of Jefferson Valley, NY, passed away on January 14, 2018 at Valley View Nursing Home in Goshen, NY with his loving family by his side. The son of the late Edward and Margaret Murray Murnane, he was born on January 19, 1933 in Kingston, NY. He was 84 years old. Lawrence proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He also worked as a policeman for the Dobbs Ferry Police Department. Lawrence had a great work ethic and is characterized as being very handy. The family would like to thank the staff at Valley View Nursing Home, Orange Regional Medical Center, and Crystal Run Healthcare for all of their care, assistance, and support to Lawrence over the years. Lawrence is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Craft Murnane, at home. Additional survivors include his son, Lawrence Murnane and his wife, Beth, of Caledonia, NY; daughters, Elizabeth “Betsy” Yannantuono and her husband, Michael, of Montgomery, NY, Laura Trapini and her husband, Anthony, of Coldenham, NY; grandchildren, Owen and Kristian; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Donald as well as two brothers and his sister. Cremation will be held privately. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research- P.O. Box 5014, Hogerstown, MD 21741-5014.
