Donald Joseph Smith, a longtime resident of the area, NY passed away on January 14, 2013 at home in Walden. He was 52 yrs. old. He was born on February 17, 1960 to Donald J. and Edith Smith in Newburgh, New York. He was married to Joan L. Sahyonne.
Donald was a member of the New Windsor Fire Department and the Walden VFW Post 2946.
Donald worked in maintenance at Federal Express in Montgomery, NY
He is survived by his mother Edith Smith of New Windsor, wife Joane L. Smith at home, son Garrett M. Smith of Walden, brother James Smith and wife Mary of New Windsor, sister Deborah Walsh of Montgomery and nieces. He was predeceased by his father Donald John Smith
Memorial contributions may be made to the Walden VFW Post 2946
Visitation will be held on January 18, 2013 from 4-6 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home 39 Orchard St. Walden, NY 12586
Cremation will be in Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY
